Albuquerque Isotopes logo from Wikipedia |
Albuquerque and New Mexico is often associated with nuclear research and technology (Sandia National Labs, Los Alamos, and the Manhattan Project), the name is very appropriate. And the Isotopes do have an interesting connection with The Simpsons television show.
They play at Isotopes Park, and in 2016 they have their home opener on Friday, April 15th.
While not being huge baseball fans (it's a snoozer to watch on TV, in my opinion), the Isotopes games are a lot of fun to go to. There's a good variety of food to eat, and they have some fun giveaways and theme nights.

I'm not a big sports fan. However, when I do go to a live game, whether it be little league or professional ball, I always have a good time.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the crowd's got its own vibe and you can't help but go with the flow.
Last live ball game I went to was a Perth Glory soccer game. We had so much fun! (Didn't hurt that Glory won.)
They're almost always better in person!
DeleteI like teams like this :) We had one when we were in Montana and also in the Southern California area. They are fun to watch indeed and I like also to watch the crowd that comes to the games :)

There's something about having the crowd there that makes it a million times better than watching in your living room.
DeleteBaseball hardly exists in the UK, and it's certainly not seen on TV very often. I bet it's fun to be in the crowd though.

We lived there for 3 years (it was the subject of my last year's A-Z), and I can't say I missed watching it. I did enjoy the horse racing, though, and we got to see the Olympics in person. :-)
DeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a baseball match and have no idea of the rules but I'm always up for some good food and giveaways!

Me too! I'm a bit fuzzy on the rules myself, but the food and drink make up for it.
